Delete your account & data

You can permanently delete your macroBody account and all the personal data tied to it at any time — straight from the app, or by emailing us if you no longer have access. This page explains how, what gets removed, and how long it takes.
1. Delete it yourself in the app (instant)
This is the fastest way and takes effect immediately:
- Open macroBody and sign in.
- Go to the More tab → Account.
- Tap Delete account.
- Confirm by re-entering your password (accounts created with Google sign-in skip this step).
Your account and personal data are then permanently and irreversibly deleted from our servers. This cannot be undone.
2. Request deletion by email
If you can’t access the app, email contact@macrobody.fr from the email address on your account and ask us to delete it. To protect you, we only act on requests sent from the account’s own email address. We complete verified requests within 30 days (usually much sooner) and confirm by email when it’s done.
3. What gets deleted
Deleting your account permanently removes all data linked to you, including:
- Your account and login (email address and hashed password).
- Your profile and health-related data — weigh-ins and weight history, goals, and calorie/macro targets.
- Your full food log (foods, quantities and meal times) and your favorites.
- Your coaching strategy and check-in history.
- Email-verification records associated with your account.
4. What we keep (and why)
- Shared food catalog: products you scanned or created that weren’t already in our database stay in the community food catalog as product data, not personal data. They describe a food, not you, and are unlinked from your identity when your account is deleted, so other users can keep logging those products. See §6 of our Privacy Policy.
- Legal records: where the law requires it, we may retain limited records (for example, to meet accounting or dispute-resolution obligations) for the legally required period, after which they’re deleted.
Subscriptions are billed by the Apple App Store or Google Play, not by us — deleting your macroBody account does not cancel a store subscription. Manage or cancel that in your App Store / Google Play account settings.
